Why and when was Dealmoon created?

Dealmoon started over 10 years ago when our six Chinese American co-founders came together to build a forum for their peers to discuss life and shopping in North America.

In fact, the Chinese characters in Dealmoon’s name translate to “A North American Shopping Guide.”

Dealmoon has become the go to resource for the Chinese American community.

We are a Shopping, Travel, Entertainment and Lifestyle advisory site that gives brands the access to this complex, sometimes overlooked and highly sought after consumer.

What kinds of products and deals resonate with your audience?

What kind of Products resonate with our audience? Our audience is very luxury-focused on fashion and beauty but, we see all types of products have great success. Our community has a great deal of trust in our editor’s advice and recommendations. We are constantly monitoring trends they are interested in and building content and securing deals to support those interest.

What deals resonate with our audience? The best ones! Seriously, our users are a savvy deal focused consumer. They love products that make them feel special or rewarded. We work hard alongside our merchant partners to provide early access to highly sought-after products, source and provide Dealmoon only exclusives.

What are the key factors in determining which programs to join and what do you look for in an advertiser partner?

We look for partners that are open to exploring new possibilities and that are excited about growth! Our platform and user interests change on a daily basis and we love it when our partners are open to the latest exciting opportunities.

Our editorial team constantly monitors how our users respond to content on Dealmoon. Working with brands that are able to address an offer change, inventory issue, or customer service inquiry on the fly are always appreciated!

What are benefits for advertisers working with Dealmoon?

I can’t understate the access Dealmoon is providing to the often-overlooked Chinese Expat community. Listening to our recommendations for what will perform well, our editors and account team are very in-tune with what our audience is looking for and what will drive sales. We joined the Awin & ShareASale networks for their wide variety of merchants across several categories. Awin in particular has been instrumental in providing our user base access to global brands, especially European brands.

Do you have any upcoming promotions, new launches, or exciting news you would like to share?

Chinese New Year on Jan 25 and Dealmoon’s Birthday on March 8 – these are two key holidays for our audience. Chinese New Year celebrations are in progress now but it’s not too late to participate. We also have some exciting new partners we are looking forward to working with this coming year within the Awin/ShareASale network.

Has there been a pivotal shift or turning point in your affiliate activities within the last 12 months? If so, what was it?

Over the past year, we have continued to focus even more than before on content-based placements and partner promotion. This helps Dealmoon remain a top-of-funnel partner for our merchants and allows our users to get even more insight into the products they are looking to purchase.
